Description

The Revenue Accounting Manager is responsible for managing revenue accounting processes, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, financial reporting, and compliance with corporate policies and applicable accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly revenue intake sheets, related spreadsheets, and inter-company reports.
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for revenue-related accounts.
• Design and maintain effective internal controls over revenue processes.
• Ensure accurate compilation, reconciliation, analysis, and reporting of revenue accounting data.
• Prepare journal entries required for revenue recognition and billing processes.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in revenue data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across financial reports.
• Liaise with banks and financial institutions to support revenue-related transactions and optimize financial processes.
• Review and update revenue transactions for new customers to ensure alignment with established terms and patterns.
• Monitor revenue collections, coordinate with relevant departments, and analyze overdue customer balances.
• Develop action plans to reduce outstanding receivables in line with company policies.
• Support budgeting activities and revenue forecasting processes.
• Coordinate with internal audit to support the preparation of annual audit schedules.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, including revenue recognition principles (IFRS 15).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in revenue accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition and accounting principles.
• Experience in financial analysis and reporting.
• Exposure to budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.
